The Test Engineer will provide support to the weapon system Reliability Program in meeting the Reliability Availability and Maintainability (RAM) Key Performance Parameters (KPP) / Key System Attributes (KSA), including defining test methodologies, schedules, and resources.
Perform reliability modeling, system and subsystem reliability predictions, FMECA, FRACAS, Reliability Qualification Testing (RQT) and management of the reliability and maintainability growth programs.
Provide support preparing the weapon system’s Reliability and Maintainability Program Plan.
Provide support in the Original Equipment Manufacturer’s (OEM) development of the FMECA.
Provide support in the OEM's FRACAS and participate in Test and Evaluation (T&E) Working Integrated Product Team (WIPT) Failure Review Board (FRB) efforts.
Provide support in planning and conducting of the Reliability Qualification Test (RQT) in collaboration with various representatives of the U.S Army Test community and the OEM.
Provide support in planning and executing the Reliability Growth Program in collaboration with the U.S Army Test community and the OEM.
Provide engineering support to the Weapon Systems Product Manager (PM) and Combat Developer in developing the Reliability, Availability, Maintainability-Cost (RAM-C) Report.
Collaborate as required with other Stakeholders (e.g., Warfighters, TRADOC Centers of Excellence (COE), Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC), Defense Ammunition Center (DAC), Army Evaluation Center Integrated Suitability and Methodology Evaluation (AEC ISMED), CECOM LCMC and SEC, etc.).
Provide general T&E support to the PM Office including membership on the T&E WIPT and providing engineering support to the PM at various T&E events (e.g., testing and related program meetings, witnessing tests, perform Test Incident Report reviews and providing concrete assessment and recommendations, scoring conferences, test results evaluations and recommendations, etc.).
Provide general engineering support to the PM Office in conducting their mission to adequately test the weapon system, and in that capacity, participate in the T&E WIPT and perform necessary tasks to meet systems testing objectives, goals, and plans.
Provide support to various Developmental Test (DT) and/or Operational Test (OT).
QUALIFICATIONS – TEST ENGINEER
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial) or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Some travel may be required.
