MAG Aerospace Senior Systems Engineer for Electronic Warfare in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland

Great opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer! In support of PM Electronic Warfare & Cyber and Project Lead Electronic Attack, the Senior Systems Engineer will support collaboration with system users, requirements owners, and developmental contractors to translate operational requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements and design.

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Plans and tracks the execution of site installations

  • Coordinates and tracks the status of system installation activities performed by support contractor

  • Acts as project lead on the accomplishment of site addendum's and collection and development of install documentation for assigned sites

  • Supports the Assistant Product Manager in the execution of program protection processes

  • Provides Systems Engineering support to Integrated Process Teams (IPT) on technical topics of relevance to acquisition

  • Performs analysis, develops courses of action, and briefs recommendations to support technical decision making

  • Elicits requirements from system users and develops Performance Based Specifications and other technical products

  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to assist with analyses, design, development, and verification of IT systems

  • Assists with analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, vulnerability, susceptibility, cybersecurity, and other system characteristics to drive to operationally effective and suitable IT systems. Identifies organizational inefficiencies and supports process improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

The required skills and knowledge include

  • US Citizenship and must possess an Active Secret DoD Security Clearance.

  • Familiarity with systems engineering technical and technical management processes

  • Recent engineering assignment supporting systems design, development, and acquisition of IT systems

  • Basic knowledge of RF theory

  • Knowledge of Agile Software development

  • Experience with CDRL review of Software documentation and the monitoring of software baseline progress

  • Experience with tracking engineering risks through development and testing-Travel to Owego for Software baseline testing

The minimum years of related experience required: 6

Education

The minimum level of education required is:

BS in an Engineering discipline

Desired Requirements

The desired skills, knowledge, and education include

  • Recent engineering assignment supporting design, development, and acquisition of IT, EW, or C5ISR systems

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work on multi-functional teams

  • TS DoD Security Clearance with SCI eligibility or TS/SCI Security Clearance.

Physical requirements for the job include: The ability to work within an office or lab environment.
