GliaCell is currently seeking a Principal Software Engineer for a role on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract.

Location: Laurel, MD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong Java Development skills (certification or experience)

  • Java-related technologies including Git, Maven, JDBC and/or JPA, JUnit

  • Expert experience of Java SE 7 technologies and APIs.

  • Advanced experience developing enterprise solutions with Java EE and related technologies such as persistence frameworks, build tools, version control systems, and continuous integration tools.

  • GIT/Maven/Eclipse

  • Advanced experience with Spring MVC.

  • WebServices and XML/JSON.

  • Oracle Database design and PL/SQL.

  • Oracle VLDBs.

  • Awareness of Oracle Coherence

  • Effective communications skills & documentation skills

  • Ability to work with large team of developers

  • Ability to manage a small team of administrators

  • Willingness to take direction

  • Willingness to interact with customer watch facilities

  • Understanding/appreciation of customer mission requirements

  • Strong analytical troubleshooting and performance evaluation skills.

  • Must be an effective team member with strong communications skills and the ability to follow-through, stay motivated, and collaborate with all team members.
