Apprentice Warehouse Lead
Responsibilities:
Supporting all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all Associates
Partnering with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards
Leading and developing a team of associates
Communicating policies to associates and act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency and taking corrective action when needed
Creating, managing, and supporting recognition and communication programs
Experience working in warehouse real-time problem-solving capacity
Leading others; you have direct management experience and have been responsible for your employees? performance
Qualifications:
You take ownership of your work and team and are available to work overtime during our client?s peak holiday season and as needed year-round.
You have an eye for efficiency and have experience identifying and executing process improvement initiatives
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and analytical skills
Demonstrated communication skills (written and verbal)
Experience with a Kaizen or Shingi event
An awareness and willingness to use OE tools and techniques
Experience working in warehouse real-time problem-solving capacity a plus
Leadership ability
Strong ability to build rapport with associates in the production area
Physical activities:
Lifting and moving material up to 49 pounds each
Bending, standing, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head
Frequent walking in the building and around area; facilities are over a quarter mile in length
