AECOM Bridge Inspection Team Leader/Structural Engineer in Baltimore, Maryland

Job Summary

AECOM is hiring a Bridge Inspection Team Leader/Structural Engineer for the Hunt Valley, MD office. The selected incumbent will have lead a team of structural engineers and technicians inspecting bridges and ancillary structures in Maryland, Delaware and Washington, DC areas. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Structural Inspection Team Leader for bridges and ancillary structures.

  • Performing condition inspections of highway or other structures in a variety of environments including confined spaces and at height (proper training and personal protection equipment will be provided)

  • Performing assignments related to the design, analysis, rehabilitation and inspection of highway bridges and ancillary structures.

  • Preparing engineering related calculations and developing drawings and visual aids

  • Working under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member

Minimum Requirements

  • Professional Engineer’s Registration

  • NHI Certification for Bridge and/or Ancillary Structure Inspections (NHI Courses 130055, 130078, and 130087)

  • Fundamental understanding of structural engineering principles, including steel and concrete design

  • written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with clients and team.

  • Ability and willingness to perform assignments outdoors when required

  • BA/BS in Civil / Structural Engineering + 4 Years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer’s Registration (Maryland/Delaware preferred)

  • Attention to detail and quality

  • Forward-thinking and motivated
