Kelly Services CNC Programmer in Baltimore, Maryland
Direct hire/permanent position!
Our client is looking for CNC Programmers/Operators to join their full-service manufacturing team in Baltimore, MD
This is a first shift position (7am-3pm).
The CNC Machinist will report to the Machining Manager and is responsible for CNC mill and lathe work related to production, tooling, and fixturing. The duties performed include, but are not limited to the following:
Programming and running aerospace metals and tool steels
Operating 3 axis vertical machining centers
Machining tools to specifications using mills, lathes, and grinders
Designing tooling and fixturing
Manufacturing production parts
Manufacturing production parts according to traveler instructions.
Following established quality, safety, and production procedures.
Using measuring equipment, such as calipers and micrometers to check accuracy of dimensions.
Performing routine quality checks during production runs.
Recognizing any unacceptable defects on parts.
Troubleshooting defects/out-of-tolerance issues and making adjustments to set-up as needed.
Maintaining required paperwork for traceability and AS9100C requirements.
Assisting in the maintenance of the CNC equipment
Performing other duties as required.
Effective communication and math skills are required.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Effective computer skills
2+ years machining and programming experience preferred
Knowledge of Gibbs AutoCad software a plus
Knowledge of GD& T is preferred
