Genesis Healthcare Coordinator-Marketing NonEx (Full Time) in Baltimore, Maryland

POSITION SUMMARY: The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for sales and marketing on behalf of the various rehabilitation clinics and programs within a designated area. The focus is on procuring new referral sources and maintaining ProStep's relationships with existing sources. Potential referral sources include physicians, attorneys, employers, and payers. Performance of public relations functions for the various clinics and programs will be required on occasion. The Marketing Coordinator will focus primarily on direct sales activities. S/he will participate in the development and implementation of sales and marketing plans and programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Responsible for managing external regional marketing communications portfolio.

  2. Provide direct outside sales and related marketing services on behalf of new and existing rehabilitation programs to current and potential referral sources (e.g. physicians, employers, attorneys).

  3. Develop and maintain a list of referral sources.

  4. Design and implement sales and marketing strategies relative to these medical, legal, and related referral sources.

  5. Work to procure additional payer contracts.

  6. Prepare press releases, and coordinate promotional activities with media for approval by the Area Director of Rehab or Clinic Director in accordance with EHSI procedures.

  7. Write and place advertising for approval by the Area Director of Rehab or Clinical Director and in accordance with EHSI procedures.

  8. Design and implement regional marketing plans and marketing strategies.

  9. Responsible for providing regular status reports to regional and corporate management.

  10. Responsible for collateral inventory management, reducing inventory and costs to acceptable levels.

QUALIFICATIONS:

SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:1. Four year Bachelor's degree in Marketing, healthcare or a related field is required.2. Some previous marketing experience, preferably in healthcare, is required.3. Excellent procedural and administrative skills combined with good interpersonal skills necessary.4. Computer proficiency is preferred.5. Experience working with outpatient clinics is preferred.
