M&T Bank Digital Data Manager in Baltimore, Maryland
M&T Bank is seeking a digital data expert to own all elements regarding digital data from requirements to basic architecture to delivery of data solutions. This individual will provide the necessary data required to enable reporting, media buying, data science, and personalization for our digital programs.
The successful candidate will be passionate about maximizing the value of data and driving efficiency within a data platform. Additionally, someone who is passionate about cross-functional collaboration, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment while collaborating across multiple teams.
Work alongside digital marketing, product, and analytics team to transform data, integrate into business processes, and enable automation of manual tasks.
Develop large scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect and standardize data that will help generate insights and address reporting, analytics and modeling needs.
Deploy models built by data scientists into production environments (attribution, personalization models, response models).
Write ETL (Extract / Transform / Load) processes, design database systems and develop tools for real-time and offline analytic processing.
Develop systems that process, store, and serve data for use by others. Maximize the utilization of data to generate insights and address business needs.
Utilize cloud-based architecture (Azure, Redshift, GCP, etc) across various platforms to optimize queries to maximize up-time of data processes and minimize cost.
Education and Experience Required:
7 years of experience in managing marketing campaigns in a client or agency environment, OR, in lieu of a degree, a combined 11 years higher education and work experience in managing marketing campaigns in a client or agency environment.
Deep understanding of search engine marketing, display advertising, social media, website measurement, and interactive content experiences. Proficiency in Site Catalyst, Google Analytics, Tableau, and/or other applications to effectively understand the results of digital efforts and make recommendations for strategy enhancements.
Education and Experience Preferred:
Expert experience with using and building data platforms such as Apache-Spark, Redshift, Snowflake, SQL, Python, SSIS, R, etc
Experience with at least 2 core domains of digital data is required (ad platform, clickstream, audience management, search, display, social, customer data etc)
Familiarity with web tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, CDPs, DMPs)
Ability to manage multiple project initiatives at once and make independent decisions
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Familiarity and experience with digital marketing practices
Ability to work closely with internal cross-functional teams and to interact with external business partners and customers as needed
Experience working in a fast-paced agile environment
Excellent written, verbal and data driven story-telling skills
