The Customer Success HQ team drives usage of Microsoft cloud products and helps our customers realize business value from their investments, by supporting the Customer Success teams with programmatic and scalable assets. We are seeking an experienced Business Architect for Security Services who is responsible for designing, aligning and refining the Security business strategy as executed by the field.

As an Security Business Architect, you will partner closely with Security CSAs, CSA managers, other stakeholders including Specialists, senior leaders in the Product Group (Engineering), Business Group (BG), One Commercial Partner team (Partner), FastTrack, Finance, as well as stakeholders in our Enterprise business units to shape & execute business strategies.

Responsibilities

Experiences Required – Education, Key Experiences, Knowledge and Skills:

Business Acumen and Executive Presence

  • Executive presence to build confidence and trust with corporate and field partners

  • Organized to drive ideation, planning and operationalization of business strategy

  • Drive field and engineering relationships across Microsoft to ensure we are focused on unblocking customers as they onboard to Microsoft security services

  • Versatile with proven ability to be adaptable in rapidly evolving business/org situations

  • Strong analytical skills, able to distill key insights from incomplete data

Technical / Role Depth

  • Expert knowledge of Security industry trends around capabilities and consumption of Security services.

  • Deep experience program managing and deploying programmatic strategies to our field teams. You will own the end to end planning and strategy for the Security space

  • Role Excellence: Role design, accountabilities, comp, training requirements

  • Running the business: Assist in critical business tasks around resource planning A14 blueprint management, weekly Scrum and overall business insights

  • Deliver end to end deep data analysis and actional strategic insights

  • Drive operational discipline and innovation

  • Assist in critical tasks around business performance including working with key partners in engineering and sales in support of rhythm of the business reporting and performance analysis

  • Act as v-team lead for critical Security consumption strategies/blockers.

The role is a programmatic, field facing role that is accountable for the end-to-end Security business, which is then executed by our Cloud Success teams.

This role represents a strong opportunity to have direct impact on the business and technical transformation.

Success in this role depends on strong collaboration across a variety of customer, partner, and internal Microsoft stakeholders. While not required, Redmond, WA is preferred. Moderate travel will be required, 20%.

Qualifications

Desired skills for this role include:

  • 5+ years of Program, Project or Product Management

  • 6+ years of experience in sales or consulting in the enterprise segment, working directly with large customers

  • 3+ years of experience in cloud implementations and architecture

  • Be familiar with corporate enabling teams, field sales organizations and roles

  • Strong exec communications and presence. Know how and when to summarize and escalate issues.

  • Self-directed, team player: if I don’t know how to get something done, I’ll find someone that does.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineer or related field preferred
