NG Space Systems is looking for a Director 1, Programs to lead and grow a number of tactical edge programs and business pursuits supporting the Integrated National Systems Business Unit in the fast-growing Payloads and Ground Systems Division. The selected candidate will report to the Director of the Mission Exploitation Operating Unit and serve as a key member of the leadership team. The successful candidate will lead a large, existing, restricted program and grow business pursuits focused on tactical edge ground systems (ground-to-space TCPED capabilities contained within a transportable form factor) and as such, this position requires a comprehensive understanding of ground systems capabilities, restricted and DoD customer communities, program management skills, proven strategic planning and business execution capabilities, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across the enterprise. The selected candidate must have a comprehensive knowledge of program management standards, policies and guidelines. The selected individual must be able to interact with and influence executive level management and communicate effectively with both oral and written presentations.
Program Managers are responsible for coordination and management of all phases of program execution, from inception through completion.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Manage and monitor the working of the various functional organizations supporting the program and captures within the Operating Unit.
Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of the organization's mission - includes management reporting, information flow and management, business development process and organizational planning.
Support the various internal and external program and pursuit reviews throughout the organization.
Conduct regular meetings with team to discuss issues, concerns and resolution.
Work in compliance with company policies and procedures
Partner with business development and business management to maximize investments.
Closely coordinates with Quality and Mission Engineering, Security, IT and Facilities to ensure efficient support of the organization.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations or related technical fields
Minimum of 10 years of program management experience
Proven communication skills both verbal and written
Current Top Secret/SCI Clearance, with SSBI adjudicated within the past 5 years
Understanding of technical, cost, schedule impacts on a program and be able to adjudicate at reviews, ECP signoffs, and assess the technical impacts
Understanding of business development and capture strategies
Demonstrated leadership ability of a large, geographically diverse organization
Knowledge of MEX OU business portfolio and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations implementing best practices
Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
Excels at operating at a fast pace, diverse environment
Open to direction and collaborative work style; commitment to get the job completed
Previous Business Development experience
