Under Armour is seeking a Director of Content Strategy to lead strategic planning and tactical execution of digital and social content in support of our Team Sports categories.
We are looking for a thought-leader with a proven track record of developing progressive content strategies for brands. As a relatively new group within Under Armour, we’re looking to add talent that can help further define the culture we’re creating… consumer-centric, intellectually curious, and always innovating.
The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of consumer media behaviors, social platforms and strategy, digital media, content marketing, and experience leveraging these tools to drive consumers through the purchase funnel.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Lead development of content strategy and editorial planning for earned and owned content marketing in support of American Football, Global Football, Basketball, Baseball and Golf categories
Collaborate with brand marketing and creative teammates to define social voice, aligned to category positioning and creative direction
Work with regional marketing partners to plan and deliver content in support of seasonal product stories and sport moments.
Lead content team in tactical ideation and execution of category social activations
Serve as internal expert with cross-functional teams, defining platform and media insights that lead to new ways to connect with consumers.
Define KPI’s and measurement framework to evaluate the impact of our work
Develop and maintain a test and learn agenda built to pilot new content formats, ad products, partners, and platforms.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Strong understanding of digital landscape, media, trends and consumer behavior.
Proven project management skills with a knack for cross-functional collaboration and a focus on completing on time and on budget.
Excellent communication and presentation skills – must be able to both educate and gain consensus with internal partners and decision makers.
Pro-active in pursuing new opportunities, ideas, platforms, etc.
Education And / Or Experience
Years of experience required
10+ years of relevant experience in social media, content marketing, digital strategy.
Experience with both brand and direct marketing initiatives.
Professional experience in or personal passion for running and fitness a plus
