The Role: This position will serve as principal leader of Innovation, Technology and Product (ITC) Operations implementing processes for technology road mapping, pipeline management, and technical documentation and establishing standards for capturing data. They will also be responsible for executing against the key responsibilities of the Corporate ITP function.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Innovation, Technology and Product Operations - Lead the day-to-day operation of the corporate ITP operations function. This includes driving strategic and tactical initiatives focused on ITP operational excellence in areas such as product planning, new product development, localization, and portfolio-optimization processes, annual operating plan and R&D investment, metrics and reporting, and product sustainability.

  • Support the creation Board of Director, Investor Relations, and other external corporate ITP communications.

  • Plans for and organizes Xylem’s Innovation, Technology and Products Council

  • Product Management Training

  • Work with other Xylem leaders in keys areas such as career framework, external partnerships, IP strategy, IT infrastructure, and Integrated Supply Chain as they relate to the ITP organization.

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

  • 15 year's experience in R&D, Product Management, Innovation or Product Development in B2B or B2C organizations.

  • Track record of successfully developing and launching commercially viable products in start-ups and/or mature technology and industrial companies.

  • Proven experience establishing high performance engineering processes and programs.

  • Action and results oriented, able to communicate strategies and tactics and resolve obstacles.

  • Demonstrated organizational agility, influence and leadership ability to effectively drive and execute initiatives within a matrixed environment.

  • Interprets internal or external business issues and recommend best practices.

  • Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify and champion innovative solutions.

  • Excellent writing, presentation, decision making, and negotiation skills.

  • Strong listening and influencing skills, as well as intercultural competence.

Key Relationships :

  • Internal: product management/engineering leaders and their teams, Innovation & Technology centers of excellence (COE) (systems intelligence, software, power electronics), India technical center (ITC), Corporate and Commercial Team FP&A, regional Vertical Marketing leaders and their segment teams, Internal Communications, Investor Relations, IT, HR, Legal, Supply Chain and Xylem's Senior Leadership and Team.
