Position Summary

The Director, Supply Planning will drive operational excellence and business performance in Under Amour’s global Apparel business. The Director will optimize inventory management, customer fill rates and factory capacity by working cross functionally and implementing best practices. This role will set the vision for Apparel supply planning which will flow into the Global Supply Planning and overall Supply Chain strategy. This role must be able to communicate effectively with leadership, internal/ external partners and be able to drive action within their own team and supporting departments where necessary. They will be responsible for their respective division(s) of the Under Armour business which includes these key responsibilities: factory capacity planning, purchase order management, buy planning/ execution, systems implementations/ optimization, all in a fast-paced environment. This role should be able to challenge functions and processes to drive the most optimal results for Under Armour through strong data, calendar, communication, and leadership skills. They must be willing to work across regions and be available in various time zones as needed to drive alignment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• System design and best practice knowledge and implementation. Able to lead a team through systems implementation and drive key change management activities

• Identify and prioritize projects and initiatives based on alignment to overall strategy and game changing impact

• Measure and drive improvement of Key Supply Chain & Supply Planning KPI’s. Root cause and drive action

• Collaborate across regional markets and regional sourcing / manufacturing partners to optimize production and drive action

• Global Demand/ Supply Constraint Management, understanding of various global markets/ supply chain models

• Lead projects across various departments to leverage Supply Planning expertise and standard processes

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

• Strong leadership skills required to bridge the HQ communications to many abroad partners internal and external

• Proactive mindset: Ability to cross functionally troubleshoot issues and problem solve early

• reference for someone with deep expertise leading a supply planning team at top apparel/footwear brand

• Demonstrated track record as an outstanding problem-solver and strategic thinker

• Able to quickly identify key issues and develop hypotheses and solutions

• Proficiency in Excel, data management and analytics

• Able to work in and bring structure to ambiguous environments

• Very deep understanding of how to link strategy to operational plans

• Very strong written and oral communicator with proven ability to communicate with senior executives

• Demonstrated understanding of retail and consumer-facing businesses Able to assess impact of decisions on overall business

• Excellent interpersonal and people leadership skills

• Able to collaborate effectively using broad range of influence styles to drive desired results

• Problem solver with entrepreneurial spirit and the persistence to get things done

• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and articulate ideas and actionable recommendations

• Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to create project plans and manage project activity to the defined plan

• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others outside of their direct-reporting lines

Education And / Or Experience

• Bachelor's Degree required, MBA preferred

• Minimum of 10 years of work experience, preferably functional supply chain / supply chain planning experience

• Supply Planning Professional, Senior Professional and Lead/ Manager teammates

• Connection with Regional Planning & Sourcing teams for proper goal alignment and handoffs
