Position Summary

We’re looking for an experienced manager to execute marketing and programming strategy for Under Armour’s Americas team, with a focus on editorial content and storytelling. This role leads the digital go-to-market process and direct-to-consumer commercialized calendar, briefing, and communications strategy. This person will work cross functionally to partner with Brand Management, Consumer Direct Marketing, and Creative partners to ensure that digital content is based on consumer and brand insights and is seamless throughout our digital ecosystem.

Experience working in digital marketing teams, plus creative or editorial storytelling is key for success. In this role you will be a connector and need to work well with multiple partners across functional teams. Ability to lead, inspire, and unite teams and around the consumer direct digital vision is required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As the Manager, Digital Editorial and Content you’ll work with multiple cross-category teams to plan, build and execute seasonal commercialized calendars, media briefs, and communication plans within Under Armour’s digital portfolio, including; Shop App, Loyalty and Personalization. This position will build and support business cases to identify and pursue revenue opportunities, collaborating with finance, marketing, merchandising and operations as needed. Includes providing feedback and direction on business needs with cross functional partners to drive revenue strategy across multiple lines of business.

This role will partner with both Global and Regional marketing and merchandising teams in the planning and creation of communication and activation strategies. You will develop and lead a content review process to ensure communication plans and messaging are approved by both Brand and Regional key stakeholders. You’ll use quantitative and qualitative insights to make recommendations to improve awareness, adoption and conversion by partnering with test and learn and analytics teams. You will maintain knowledge by staying up to date with emerging trends in integrated marketing, brand, and development.

The ideal candidate for this role would have the following:

  • Deep understanding of insight gathering and creative brief writing, consumer journey and programming strategy, and test/measurement plans.

  • Background in editorial marketing or brand strategy.

  • Ability to deliver insight-led marketing briefs that translate business and marketing goals into impactful strategies.

  • Proven experience delivering consumer journey framework.

  • Deep understanding of both evolving consumer environment and digital landscape.

  • Data driven decision making.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Expertise in stakeholder mapping, communication planning, campaign creation, and copy writing

  • Adept at simplifying and communicating sophisticated ideas to broad audiences.

  • Ability to work across and build strong relationships across a heavily matrixed and global org.

  • Ability to Travel, 15%

Education And / Or Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Design, Marketing, Communications, Organizational Communications or Internal Branding.

  • 5+ years’ experience in managing editorial calendars, campaigns, and communications globally; ideally internally at a large, global company

  • 3+ years’ experience in content project management
