VMware Modern Workplace Product Leader - Opportunity for Working Remotely in Baltimore, Maryland

What is the primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?

As a Modern Workplace Product Leader your main focuses in this role will be to:

  • Own the vision, strategy, roadmap and execution for Slack and key emerging modern workplace services

  • Embody our UCC Service Owner Guidelines to deliver frictionless and delightful experiences for your products

  • Champion new tools and new ways of working across VMware by partnering with our Colleague Success, Colleague Experience, Service Delivery and Communications teams

  • Engage in our Integrated DevOps model to maintain and improve UCC systems and services

  • Deliver a frictionless and delightful VMware colleague experience

Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

In this role you will be measured on your successful ability to:

  • Build a strong network of colleague connections across VMware to support your mission

  • Create and publish a vision, strategy and roadmap for Slack

  • Drive meaningful adoption and consumption of your products while measuring and confirming organizational ROI from your investments

  • Nurture and grow the Slack Champion Network to scale and support the Slack experience

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

In this role you will regularly do the following:

  • Liaise with stakeholders across VMware to understand their business needs and objectives, and tailor solutions to support those needs and objectives

  • Drive automation and integrations to reduce the support burden and deliver a frictionless experience to our colleagues

  • Work across UCC, Colleague Experience & Technology and the CIO Org to deliver and operate your services in accordance with our UCC Service Owner Guidelines

  • Respond to and lead resolution for service incidents and outages

  • In this role, you will report to Carol Roberts, Senior Manager of UCC. UCC managers encourage independent thought and challenging the status quo to provide improved service to colleagues.
