The Patient Ambassador meets and greets patients and visitors at the main entrance to the hospital. Provides support and monitors patient flow activities in the main lobby. Coordinates and provides concierge services such as access to wheelchairs, escort to locations within the hospital campus and securing of luggage. Responsibilities also include the monitoring of patient waits for transportation and acting as a liaison with transportation personnel as necessary. Assists with transfer of patients to and from vehicles and making requests for assistance from the lift team when necessary.
Minimum requirements: (1) High school diploma or equivalent (2) Strong hospitality/customer service attributes required. (3) Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures including working knowledge of patient safety and patient transport techniques.
Additional qualifications include:
General knowledge of patient transport and age-specific interactions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary to deal effectively with general public and JHH personnel.
Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
Ability to compile and maintain routine activity reports.
Pay Grade: NB
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift: 8 hour day,Work hours are flexible.
