Job Description


The Product Pricing Analyst is responsible for assisting with the development, launch, pricing, and administration of investment products; maintaining the pricing inventory; supporting the Product Strategy Committee (PSC); and helping the Global Product group conduct strategic planning projects. The incumbent is involved with projects that have enterprise-wide impact.



  • Analyzes new investment strategies (e.g., Global Equity, ETFs, Canadian PPFs, etc.), conducts market research, coordinates the work within the department and drafts reports for senior management consideration on enterprise level initiatives.

  • Organizes the Product Management and Pricing (PMP) materials by gathering information and framing issues regarding vehicles, pricing, naming, seeding, etc. of new and existing investment strategies, to share/present at the monthly 50+ member PMP meeting to help ensure efficient and appropriate coordination of new product and vehicle launches across distribution, investments, legal and shared services groups.

  • Supports Product Strategy Committee (PSC) analyses regarding vehicles, pricing, minimums, seeding, breakpoints, and capacity limitations for new and existing institutional investment products and related retail strategies. The PSC is responsible for product development, pricing, capacity and seeding decisions and includes the following members: TRP Vice Chair, TRP CIO, and the Heads of Asset Allocation, Equity, Fixed Income, International Equity, GIS, and USIS.

  • Maintains the PSC roadmap and updates the seed capital reports used for PSC review.


  • Responsible for the maintenance, updates, and distribution of the Pricing Repository

  • Leads and conducts ad hoc product, vehicle, and pricing projects (e.g., custom Global Multi-Sector opportunities, Founder’s fees, new products and vehicles) through market research and drafting reports for management review and consideration.

  • Accountable for conducts competitive market research using eVestment, Morningstar Direct, etc., for analyzing pricing, pricing trends, vehicles, etc.


  • Researches and drafts ad hoc policy projects (e.g., Relationship Pricing, Fee Aggregation, Capacity policy) by conducting market research, helping to draft reports for senior management review and consideration.


  • Assesses trends in the asset management business for the Strategic Initiatives team, evaluating TRP’s positioning and that of its distribution and investment management units in relation to such trends; provides data and market research to help draft reports and strategic plans.

  • Stays abreast of industry studies and research publications.



  • College degree and 4 years of related work experience, or

  • Associate degree and 6 years related work experience, or

  • High School diploma/equivalent and 8 years related work experience

  • Exposure to significant facets of the asset management business

  • High energy level, action-oriented

  • Superior Power Point and Excel skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and independently


  • T. Rowe Price experience preferred
