Johns Hopkins Medicine created the Internet Strategy and Web Services team to serve as a central strategic leader in the exploration, development, execution and analysis of a digital strategy that connects the people of the world to the people of Johns Hopkins Medicine. Serving all aspects of the three-part mission of research, education and patient care, the team leads large-scale enterprise projects as well as internal fee-for-service activities including strategic content creation, information architecture and taxonomy curation, search engine optimization, search engine marketing, social media engagement, faculty profile optimization and maintenance, and sub-site and micro-site development and maintenance. The team also supports nearly 400 distributed editors providing daily support and ongoing training.
As part of the Internet Strategy & Web Services Team, the Project Manager ensures timely, efficient, quality management throughout the project life cycle for the team’s most complex fee-for-service and strategic enterprise projects. Under the direction of the Director of e-Strategy and Web Services for the Johns Hopkins Medicine health system, the PM coordinates with the web team, clients and colleagues to identify project scope and align resources and delivery of documentation and final products. The PM will also extend current project standards, tools and documentation – and improve existing methodologies – to contract PM’s on an as-needed basis.
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with multiple projects in a fast paced environment
Ability to lead projects. Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile or other approaches necessary, experience with both methods is preferred . Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management techniques. Web experience preferred. Verbal and written communication skills, process improvement, problem solving, analyzing information and reporting skills.
Project Management professional certification desirable, not required.
