SUMMARY: Perform process audits and quality checks to ensure that product meets customer specifications and company requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES:
Perform routine process audits to ensure that production personnel are following all related ISO, GMP and food safety procedures & practices. In the event that any non-conformances are identified through the course of these audits, effective (written) reports of the audit findings will be made and communicated.
Enter data in various QA Databases.
Completes verification on processes via Lighthouse (ADCS) and batch record review.
Assist in training personnel in Lighthouse (ADCS).
Select products for tests at specified states in production process and test products for a variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance and mechanical or chemical characteristics.
Identify modifications of existing quality or productions standards.
Provide guidance to QA Inspectors and Machine Operators
Completes Quality onboarding training with all new hires.
Assist the re-work area to assure timely re-work of non-conforming product.
Review quality related paperwork for accuracy and correct discrepancies and file.
Manage the calibration process and maintains the calibration database for the Quality Assurance Department.
Collect rejects and support the MRB function.
Prepare & ship PDS samples to customers.
May be required to perform back up duties for the Quality Inspector and any other duties as assigned.
Accepts responsibility to comply with all safety, quality, customer, ISO, SQF and any other regulatory requirements. And has the authority to report concerns that could impact these requirements or suggest areas for improvement.
Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have excellent attendance and good work record.
Prefer associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from a two year college or technical school and/or a minimum one year related production/quality experience.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Must have good math skills and good proficiency in MS office application. Able to use spreadsheet and statistical software.
Must be able to read and write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Must be able to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, associated, and the general public.
Must have good color acuity.
