The Sr. Technical Account Manager is responsible for managing and supporting existing strategic account customer relationships working closely with a variety of internal and external parties - key business/technical stakeholders, internal champions, cross-functional teams to ensure we meet customer goals and commitments. Communicates status and issues to internal and external customers regularly. The candidate will facilitate internal stakeholder meetings and serve as the Voice of Customer resulting in prioritized decision making across production, release of product and issue resolution. This role is considered a key member of the strategic relationship management team and must have the vision, drive, and interpersonal skills to succeed in a rapid growth environment.
Additionally, this role will be the subject matter expert on Thermo Fisher Scientific branded products supporting Key Account Managers with expansion opportunities and product improvement opportunities.
Schedule and coordinate quarterly/monthly technical meetings, monitor established performance metrics and scorecard reports with key customer accounts
Accountable for SOW process and harmonization across CDD
Lead cross-functional work with Manufacturing, Planners, Customer Service and Technical Support to manage product delivery, back orders and allocations
Responsible for customer Financial Planning/Delivery including forecasts & open orders
Manage customer driven product scrap and follow-up with key accounts
Support planners with change orders, review and approval in conjunction with Key Account Managers
Manage the Thermo Fisher branded product life cycle from inception to obsolescence
Frequent communication to IVDS team regarding strategic account support status and issues
Maintains open lines of communication with customers and contributes towards strengthening partnerships in conjunction with Key Account Managers
Serves as a bridge between inbound and outbound customer activity
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
B.S. Degree in Scientific Field required or Professional certifications in a Diagnostic or related industry
5+ years of product management / product development or other relevant experience
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational, planning, process development, communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Excellent relationship building skills with proven ability to motivate & influence others
Strong project management skills
Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, etc.)
Detail oriented and assertive self-starter who can operate effectively in a constantly changing environment
Possess a strong set of personal and business values that coincide with those of the 4I's (Integrity, Intensity, Innovation & Involvement).
