Perspecta Network Engineer Systems Architectures in Belcamp, Maryland
Business Group Highlights
Perspecta Labs generates transformative applied research to fuel solutions for our customers’ unique challenges. We are a self-sustaining research center within Perspecta that provides applied research and engineering to enable government agencies, utilities and commercial enterprises to fully exploit the future of communications, analytics and cyber security.
We are developing intelligent network operations software with an automated failover mechanism to assist networks to overcome limitations, improve the ability to sense, and adapt the network quickly to real-time dynamic changes in the environment in different threat and mission scenarios. Intelligent switching through alternative communications links will allow the network to be more resilient in a contested and congested environment, reduce the time to configure networks, and allow all phases of mission operations to be executed effectively. By automating the network behavior, our software will allow the network to be aware of the environment and hence will make the network resilient due to changing factors, such as node movement, terrain interference, intentional / unintentional signal interference, and network congestion.
This position involves applied technology testing in diverse areas related to wireless systems architectures and protocols. Lab equipment setup, configuration, troubleshooting, networking software testing in disconnected, intermittent wireless environments. This position involves simulation of tactical network conditions, and capturing and analyzing network data from diverse hardware and software components.
