n-Link is recruiting for an Enterprise Systems Architect to support our contract effort at the Federal Occupational Health (FOH) office in Bethesda, MD.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Design and define system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems.
Research, develop/document, and analyze architectures to identify mission capability gaps, overlaps, and shortfalls; determine and recommend architectural, IT, or process solutions; and research and develop other architecture related documents and plans.
Determine systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system security.
Coordinate design of subsystems and integration of total system.
Consult with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives.
Develop and recommend corrective actions.
Produce architecture development plans and reports.
Identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies.
Write manuals for users to describe installation and operating procedures.
Review, analyze, and modify programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support application systems.
Provide documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections.
May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers.
Function as the team security expert, moving ATOs and other security documentation through the process.
Review all security items prior to them going to the ISSO.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of progressive IT experience in enterprise architecture
Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to develop technical and analytical documents and present oral briefs to senior management.
Working knowledge of relational databases and client-server concepts.
Proven experience articulating technical viewpoints to diverse audiences, including technical and business decision makers
Proven ability to evaluate information and make sound technical risk judgements
Demonstrated ability to multitask and to prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to develop longer-range project plans and schedules to complete complex projects or new solution/product development
Demonstrated ability to perform technical skills/knowledge transfer to client
Demonstrated attention to detail and follow-up skills
Demonstrated leadership, delegation, and personnel management skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction
Clearance: must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
