IBM Sales Account Executive – Media AdTech Specialist in Bethesda, Maryland

Your Role and Responsibilities

IBM Watson Advertising (IWA), formerly The Weather Company’s advertising sales division, uses the world’s leading artificial intelligence (AI) technology to unlock data and insights and help marketers make better decisions. IWA offers trusted, insight-driven media, data, and technology solutions that can be deployed across a Brand or Platform’s entire marketing strategy to help drive results.

The IBM Watson Advertising Ad-Tech Account Executive is responsible for working directly with clients to drive demand and sales for media technology solutions across brands, agencies and clients in the ecosystem. In this role, you will have a focus on driving new business within CPG and Retail categories.

**Location requirements are Chicago, IL, or NYC, NY.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieve individual and/or group revenue goals

  • Develop top to bottom relationships across agencies, brands, and clients

  • Manage customer/client relationships through full sales cycle

  • Drive new business among CPG and Retail categories

  • Understand brand needs and be able to identify ad tech solutions in response to any request

  • Use Salesforce and other CRM tools as required by IBM Watson Advertising Management

  • Create meeting cadence, tactical sales engagement and product updates with partners

  • Establish reporting matrix with partners for a seamless reporting workflow

  • Responsible for tracking all partner activity, technical status and revenue opportunities

  • Communicate with all cross-functional teams within IBM Watson Advertising (Legal/Marketing etc…)

  • Be the liaison between internal and external partners surrounding technical challenges with campaigns

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ years of outside Media, Data & Technology Sales Experience in CPG and Retail industries

  • Possess a lengthy list of appropriate contacts and relationships at client and agency levels

  • Consultative Sales & Proposal Writing Experience

  • Demonstrated experience selling and managing complex AI-driven media campaigns

  • Excitement and curiosity of AI, Cognitive, Data and Ad-Tech solutions and welcomes continued learning and discovery

  • Possess a “can-do” attitude and be ready to educate clients around new and emerging technologies in the media landscape

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Advertising Agency background and experience

  • Experienced in identifying and establishing prospect lists

  • Collaborative abilities to work with internal production team

  • Proficiency & experience developing and executing strategic marketing plans

  • Problem solver and able to identify and translate customer needs into IWA solutions
