Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise the erection, repair and troubleshooting of rides and attractions following Manufacture and Engineering specifications to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Perform daily inspections, maintenance, and repair of rides and attractions computerized ride control systems, electrical utilities and equipment in the park and notify management and or Engineering of any hazards, defects, and ride or guest related problems that may endanger the guest, staff and the general public.
Diagnose electro-mechanical problems and initiate required repair work.
Install electrical conduit and wiring; clean electrical equipment and components; maintain controls on rides; maintain ride lighting.
Conduct preventative maintenance on rides, computerized ride control systems, electrical utilities and equipment.
Ensure that manufacturer's specifications, procedures, and State Regulations are complied with and documented.
Maintain OSHA Safety Standards and other policies and procedures of Six Flags, Inc. and Six Flags America.
Review work orders daily and delegate items to controls technicians in a timely manner while managing ride downtime calls.
Keep all records and documentation updated daily, accessible and organized.
Monitor department team member voice survey feedback and assist in the development of initiatives to address areas of needed improvement.
Perform periodic performance appraisals of team members.
Perform other duties as assigned.
- Reports directly to Maintenance Facilities Supervisor.
Skills & Qualifications
Must have 3-5 years of related work experience and able to work in a team environment.
Must have thorough understanding of Allen Bradley PLC's, Allen Bradley, and ABB AC/DC motor drives, and other electrical equipment theory and operation.
Must possess the ability to work at heights 100 feet or more above grade.
Advanced knowledge of electrical test equipment (i.e. mega/micro ohm meter, volt meter, current meter, and other various pieces of test equipment.
Will be required to work various shifts as project and Park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Strong work ethic with the ability to troubleshoot clearly, calmly and safely in the presence of guests, co-workers and park management in a fast-paced environment.
Must possess a valid driver's license and a clear driving record.
Must possess the ability to stand for long periods of time, climb stairs and ladders repeatedly, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and work overhead using both hands. Assist in ride evacuations, lift 50lbs without injury and work in the extreme temperatures.
