We are growing and searching for experienced diesel mechanics - diesel technicians to join our team.We are looking for a Mobile Maintenance Mechanic for the DC/Baltimore, MD area. This position is responsible for providing mobile service for the maintenance and upkeep of company owned Vehicles by ensuring proper repairs are made to vehicles in a timely and quality manner.This position will be about 40 hours and will report to our Capitol Heights, MD location! Hourly rate is $26-$32 depending upon experience.Successful candidate should be a well-rounded individual with the ability to complete many tasks including, but not limited to:Requirements:Read job order and observes and listens to vehicle in operation to determine malfunction and to plan work procedures.Manage inventory control on the service truck and for keeping the vehicle properly stocked.Report to the Service Manager and will be assigned duties on a daily basis.Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and be available for an open work schedule.Handle basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with fuel, checking oil, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed and documented as assigned.Perform service calls for emergency breakdownsComplete required paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair timesPerform inspection, diagnosis, and repair of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, suspensions, drive-train components, electrical, air conditioning, air brakes, computer diagnosticsConduct DOT safety checks on vehiclesWork under limited supervision using written or verbal instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasksIdentify multiple projects and prioritize work to maximize truck utilizationCommunicate clearly and effectively at various levels to obtain and provide information needed to accomplish goals thru Emails, Texts with Fleet manager and various Contract supervisorsRequired Skills:Proficiency in diagnosing and repair of diesel engines, emission control systems, hydraulic systems, suspensions, drive-train components, electrical, air conditioning, air brakes, and computer diagnosticsAbility to work independently with little or no supervision; self-motivated and self-directedWorking knowledge of iPad and/or Tablet for PDF viewingPrevious experience doing preventative maintenance inspections and schedulingKnowledge of electrical troubleshooting and repairStrong mechanical skills and the ability to problem solveCDL preferred or ability to obtain a CDL licenseDedication to maintain the highest standard of safety in all aspects of the jobDisplay a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all timesWillingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as requiredWorking outdoors with exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold and other outdoor environmental conditions, constant standing and walking, climbing, working from heights and lifting up to 75 lbs.Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and overtimeTravel between local sites as needed, travel as much as 100% of the timeMust provide own basic toolsHigh school diploma or equivalentOur Core Values:Culture of Caring:respect and appreciation for our employees and clientsTeamwork:fostering integrity and support among employees and clientsCustomer Commitment and Service Excellence:ensuring service excellence, safety, and peace of mindContinuou
