Within Microsoft Consulting Services, the Business Applications Solution Area is responsible for the Global Services strategy, offerings, and field readiness for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Power Platform domain. However, our goal is to tell the complete Microsoft story across clouds by matching our capability to solutions and business outcomes. Business Applications are becoming increasingly strategic to Microsoft and as a key component of our Industry Cloud and core platform value proposition. With the launch of Microsoft’s Industry Clouds, MCS has an opportunity to make the market for these new capabilities while helping our customers achieve their business goals in a new and exciting way. We are looking for an experienced Business Applications Industry Cloud Program Manager who can work across Microsoft product and marketing teams to ensure MCS develops Services solutions that help our customers deploy these new capabilities. This role will focus on the Manufacturing and Retail Cloud.

Are you interested in joining us on this journey? We are looking for an experienced PM who can deliver a global Services product to market. You would lead collaboration with stakeholders across the Microsoft to ensure that Microsoft Consulting Services has offerings that help our Customers implement these solutions and realize the business value they are seeking. You will work across engineering, marketing, sales, and other MCS stakeholder groups to ensure alignment cross a complex organization. You will be working with drive collaboration across MCS strategy and marketing teams to ensure our Industry Cloud offerings maximize business value and leverage MCS intellectual property. You will help craft the MCS value proposition in these Industries and collaborate with our sales organizations to ensure they are aware and able to articulate the message. This is a high visibility role with potential for growth, as we expand into additional verticals within the Manufacturing and Retail space.


Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Set Services offering strategy within the context of the Microsoft Business Applications Dynamics 365 CRM Business Group (BG) and Product Group (PG) including crafting industry specific scenarios for Manufacturing and Retail clouds.

  • Collaborate with other Solution Areas to offer end-to-end scenario capabilities for our customers

  • Define Microsoft Services value proposition and messaging

  • Understand the capabilities and value propositions of the current product portfolio and roadmap and the resulting Consulting Services opportunities, challenges, and business concerns.

  • Engage deeply with the sales field to understand where we are winning (or more importantly losing) to adapt the GTM approach.

  • Harvest existing Microsoft sales and delivery IP to support scenarios, identify IP gaps, and develop required IP to rollout GTM solutions.

  • Drive key initiatives to improve our global delivery excellence through better process, tools and people readiness.

  • Work with key internal partners including Dynamics Global Practice, Microsoft Digital Advisors, the Customer Success Unit team, the Enterprise Operating Unit (EOU) team, One Commercial Partner (OCP) team, Services Global Sales and Delivery teams to drive increased revenue, cloud consumption and customer satisfaction.

  • Support our external sales and delivery partners.


You will bring most of the following experience and knowledge:

  • At least 7+ years of professional experience in program management, consulting, CRM/ERP implementation, and/or related field expertise.

  • At least 2 years' experience in either the Manufacturing or Retail space.

  • Demonstrated track record of effective communication with technical and business leaders at all levels within large enterprises, including cross-organizational product, sales, and delivery team collaboration.

  • Deep understanding of project management techniques and tools for large complex business transformation projects; direct leadership experience in systems implementation projects a plus.

  • Proven ability to transfer industry and market knowledge gained from customer engagements to account teams and other Microsoft constituencies.

  • Strong analytical skills, a passion for Microsoft technology, and creativity in defining how new technologies can help customers reduce costs, improve profitability, gain efficiency, and gain a competitive advantage.

  • Ability to communicate with customers and partners effectively and professionally.

  • Strong communication, data synthesis, presentation, and leadership skills.

  • Adaptable work-style - functioning well both as a member of the team and as a self-directed, independent worker.

  • Ability to work effectively in a start-up environment and excel at managing complex cross-organizations projects where success is predicated on influencing team members without having direct authority over them.

  • Experience with executing plans with field sales organizations; global experience across several markets would be a plus.

  • Relevant undergraduate degree and /or equivalent work experience; Master’s Degree preferred.

  • Multi-language skills preferred.

Location/Travel: Global travel can be expected to be up 15%.
