The Senior Director of Business Operations (Chief of Staff) will help drive meaningful business impact for the organization. This individual will report directly to the CVP of WWPS and will be a member of the leadership team. The Chief of Staff is responsible for directing activities including orchestration of field engagements, customer and partner briefings, press and analyst relations, as well as manage a small team of communication professionals and project managers. The position requires close collaboration with the Strategy & Operations team to drive effective org-wide processes to manage the business. This role will also work closely with the Executive Assistant and represent the office of the CVP at cross-group meetings when required.

This position requires extensive cross-group coordination at all levels, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to formulate issues and recommendations clearly. Attention to detail, excellent project management skills, financial acumen and a highly organized, process-focused aptitude are required to manage the variety of responsibilities and deliverables. You must be able to work well with senior executives, operate under pressure and deadlines, and must be flexible with the ability to manage ambiguity and uncertainty.
Leader and leadership team enablement:
Operate and manage the Chief of Staff Office as a people manager.
Develop and execute organization’s rhythm of business (ROB) process.
Lead and manage the organization’s Leadership Team (LT) and staff meetings focused on clear outcomes.
Drive preparation and achieve outcomes for leader meetings, presentations, field visits, and internal/external engagements.
Represent the business in key stakeholder/customer engagements.
Serve as proxy for leader as needed.
Manage communications team to insure effective communication strategy and key messages.
Develop and cultivate cross organizational stakeholder relationships to amplify alignment with critical internal partners, i.e., engineering groups, sales, etc.
Develop and execute against the broad people agenda including management of on-going org communications such as All Hands, internal sites and on-boarding programs.
Execute employee award and recognition programs.
Drive employee engagement programs. Understand voice of the organization and employee pulse.
Engage in and support employee listening programs to maximize employee in voice and increase employee listening and engagement – both directly and through the global communities of Enterprise Support.
Create a diverse and inclusive culture focused on increasing diverse representation, retention, and improving inclusion.
Business Strategy & Planning:
Develop and drive business strategic and annual strategic priority planning process.
Coordinate business manager community across WWPS to align to broader org and people agenda.
Track progress and drive completion of actions across business in alignment with LT commitments and long-range financial plans
Drive strategic initiatives or cross-group projects to insure the team is achieving commitments.
Ensure budget, resourcing, and LT capacity is aligned to top business priorities.
Oversee headcount planning and budget planning and forecasting
Minimum of 10-15 years of business relevant experience and results in a technology organization, with experience across multiple disciplines
Undergraduate BA or BS degree is required; MBA preferred
5+ years of experience driving high performing teams to design, build, evaluate, support, and continuously improve global programs
Strong understanding and experience working with customers, partners, and the field, with an ability to translate that experience into strategic insights
Excellent analytical, problem resolution, and decision-making skills
Passion and proven record for execution with measurable results and a focus on delivering impact
Outstanding networking and interpersonal skills with ability to build positive working relationships across senior leadership teams
Excellence and experience in managing OPEX and all aspects of budget planning
Demonstrated capability in verbal and written communication skills for a geographically dispersed audience
