Cadence Design Systems, Inc. Application Engineering Manager in Columbia, Maryland

We're a group that enables Cadence customers through development of cross platform flows and methodologies specific to the customers needs. This position specifically requires leading a group of diverse individuals while working across all tools and platforms Cadence has to offer. This is a technical contributor management position.

The job function involves the following:

  • Managing of team of <10 engineers

  • RF Systems Analysis

  • Advanced package analysis

  • Heterogeneous die stack, face to face, MCM

  • PCB EM analysis

  • Package and PCB thermal analysis

  • Working outside of the box to identify solutions across all tools

This position requires the following experience/qualifications:

  • Be able to hold a US Security Clearance

  • BSEE, or equivalent

  • Minimum of 15 years of industry experience

  • Must have excellent communication skills with both written and spoken English.

  • Expert knowledge in Systems Analysis

  • Expertise in Design methodologies including RF and high speed digital design

  • RTL design knowledge is desired

  • Analog design knowledge is desired

  • Verification experience using Cadence products is desired

  • Programming experience with scripting languages
