Element Materials Technology Associate Biomedical Engineer, Regulatory Compliance in Columbia, Maryland
, proud to be part of Element, has an opportunity for Associate Biomedical Engineer, in the Regulatory Division of the Columbia, MD location. This position applies engineering problem solving skills to evaluate wireless devices for federal regulations, involving Power Density (PD) and/or Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) evaluations for wireless consumer technologies in a fast-paced environment and industry. All training is provided.
Perform and analyze RF Exposure testing on wireless devices using near-field RF probes, liquid dielectric biomaterial solutions and RF dipole antennas
Compiling and reporting test results
Interfacing and communicating with clients and engineering teams in a technical and professional manner
Collaborating daily with managers and test engineers
Coordinating and managing multiple projects with tight deadlines
Developing and maintaining support software for test procedures and report generation
Skills / Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering
Strong mathematical, analytical, and reasoning skills
Being able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with staff at all levels in the organization
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Basic software programming or coding experience a plus
