Unleashed Technologies is seeking a dynamic, positive, energetic, hard-working, and experienced individual to carry the mantle of Director of Operations of the #1 ranked design and development web firm in both Baltimore and Washington, D.C. This dynamic role will put you at the center of ensuring that our project management methodologies, client experience, service delivery, and evolving model is always first-class. As a Director of Operations, you?ll help clients grow their goals/businesses, tackle tough issues, ensure metrics are being hit, and guide project managers, web developers, and other digital specialists to success as we work with our clients every day.

Responsibilities

The Director of Operations oversees the activities of the production and customer service department and assures the smooth operation of the department when responding to internal and external requests. These requests may come from development staff, operations personnel, support center employees, and clients. This role works closely with the Finance Department to make sure project timelines and customer service decisions align financially with revenue and profitability goals. The Director of Operations will manage both Project Managers and Web Developers.

Skills

The Director of Operations must possess excellent communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to solve complex client issues. A positive, service-oriented disposition and the capacity to manage time and personnel are required. Leadership, management, project management, and client management are required skills to be successful in this position. Ideally, this leader will also have prior experience in the management of building websites and executing web development delivery. Preference will be given to candidates with technical web development knowledge and experience.

Duties

  • Responsible for execution of project and operational delivery to meet client needs and achieve client satisfaction;

  • Responsible for retention of clients;

  • Responsible for the overall leadership and lead role in managing and implementing projects of enterprise digital solutions;

  • Responsible for controlling project schedules, ensuring budgets are met and risk is reduced for client and company; facilitates timely decisions to maintain project schedule and budget;

  • Manage Project Coordinator as part of effort to assist Project Managers with the tools, resources, and organization necessary to execute successful project management;

  • Identify project risks early and take action for risk avoidance and mitigation; creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements; works with Project Managers to communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions;

  • Oversee and execute process improvements and the development of policies, procedures, methods, and tools in support of operational delivery and web development;

  • Lead the recruitment, retention, and development of high-quality Project Managers and Web Developers;

  • Support pre-sales processes and working with sales and account management professionals to win new business;

  • Establish strategic plans along with other business leaders and maintain strong relationships with production teams, the sales team, client and account managers and other business leaders in support of cross-product businesses;

  • Serve as a core member of the Management Team. In this capacity, provides management with regular project updates; serves as a critical advisor to the team as an Implementation leader and helps to set the tactical direction for the implementation and professional services team, with a special emphasis on how and what we implement. Maintains reporting on capacity, amount of implementation work, and future outlook in order to advise strategic direction setting, especially regarding the long-term growth of Project Managers and Web Developers.

    Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in information technology, business administration, operations, project management, relevant field or equivalent experience is preferred;

  • At least 7+ years of experience demonstrating management and leadership experience, preferably in a professional services or technical digital environment;

  • Past project management experience and experience in a senior project management role;

  • Strong operational management, project management, consulting, technology and process improvement skills;

  • Strong communication/presentation and negotiation skills; and

  • Technical knowledge and experience in web development and digital execution is preferred, but not necessarily required.
