Job Description

Responsible for development and implementation of the marketing strategy to drive sales growth and profitability in the Americas FCC catalysts market. Drive sales through regional commercial organization and accountable for regional sales and margin metrics. Act as a Marketing Partner for the Americas FCC Sales VP to ensure short, medium- and long-term success of the FCC Business in the region. This position reports to the VP of Marketing, FCC.

  • Develop and implement mid- and long-term product and service strategies for the Americas FCC catalysts market for the region.

  • Work closely with account managers to propose pricing for new product and pricing opportunities.

  • Collect and analyze market information to understand the market size, environment, needs, trends, and opportunities for products within the region, working with sales to collect direct customer feedback.

  • Manage the external communication and conference strategy for the region to ensure that Grace’s external presence promotes our strategic messages for the Americas market.

  • Monitor and report competitive behavior (strategy, price, people) and product performance within the region. Devise strategies to differentiate our products and services.

  • Segment the market and develop customer value propositions and drive implementation for the region aligned with the strategy for target segments and accounts.

  • Lead Catalyst Selection Process team to ensure optimal product selection.

  • Manage the launch and promotion of new technology in the region.

  • Identify opportunities to improve the sales process. Develop the sales materials and strategies, Sandler tools, and training required to prepare the Sales teams to uncover new opportunities and retain existing business. As assigned, manage relationships with certain channel partners.

  • Work closely with segment marketing and corporate communications to develop and implement internal and external communication vehicles.

  • Coordinate agenda and messaging for customer seminars and technology exchanges.

  • Participate in the development of the 5-year Growth Plan for the business.

  • Ensure a regular and strong interface with the sales organization, FCC marketing teams across regions, and the segment teams for market and customer development to drive strong Customer Value Propositions.

  • Travel required about 25%.

Required Experience

  • BS in Chemical Engineering or similar discipline

  • 12+ years’ experience, of which significant part in a refining, petrochemicals, chemicals or related industry

  • Understanding of marketing practices and tools including project management and commercialization

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA is a plus

  • 5+ years Commercial experience

  • B2B marketing

  • Refining planning and economics expertise
