KBR Sr. FP&A Analyst in Columbia, Maryland
Title:
Sr. FP&A Analyst
KBR is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to join our team supporting the Engineering Group of a growing company with a great culture. Position located in our Columbia, MD office. Telework is available for this position.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Prepare and review financial analysis, reports & presentations for senior leadership, including
- Monthly Flash and Dashboard
- FMR, QBR and Annual Budget Presentations
- Indirect Operating expense/allocations
- Capital and IR&D expenditure planning & analysis
- Assist in the month end close process, including:
-Preparation of Journal entries, including accruals
-Support of SOX and accounting requirements
- Assist in the creation and presentation of financial analysis and modeling to support:
-Management reporting and analytics
-Processes and systems supporting Corporate FP&A
Coordinate with various finance teams, business finance leaders and Operations, as well as other functional groups outside of finance to facilitate the monthly close process and ensure accuracy of financials and financial deliverables.
Help to maintain a strong, cost effective controls environment ensuring compliance with the FAR, SEC, US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley accounting and reporting regulations, and company accounting policies and procedures.
Required Skills
Demonstrated career progression in finance/accounting and ability to work in a matrixed environment
Experience with planning and budgeting and forecasting,
Experience of driving financial processes and improvements
Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
Strong Microsoft Office Suite capabilities (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of US GAAP
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Required Experience
BS in Finance, Accounting or related field
5-8 years progressive financial experience, preferably in Government contracting
Preferred Qualifications
CostPoint and related systems (COGNOS, Deltek)
Hyperion/ HFM/ EPM tool
