Use MRP System to forecast production demand, manage customer forecast, safety stock requirements, and maintain desired inventory levels. Align work centers daily
Oversee the schedule and plan production on specific molds and machines in need of repairs.
Process and expedite orders and communicate daily with Customer Service Representatives of any concerns.
Monitor slow moving inventory and obsolescence and drive improvements to achieve inventory goals and reduce obsolescence.
Work with manufacturing, maintenance and support departments to improve production efficiencies.
Balance current and future customer demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities.
Recommend adjustments to forecasts and inventory levels.
Prioritize rework activities.
Support the plant and corporate operational goals,
Participate in monthly Scheduling and new project calls, provide feedback and status updates, and facilitate changes to ensure efficient operations planning.
Create, update, and distribute daily and weekend priority files
Create and distribute daily mold change file
Assure partial FG are taken to production each day to be filled
Plan and execute stock for mold repairs
Work with purchasing to assure all raw materials are ordered and received in accordance with work order start dates
Attend daily ops meetings
Inform customer service/sales/management of issues impacting production and shipment of product
Education: Knowledge normally acquired through completion of a 4 year technical degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering or other related technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Experience: In addition to the educational requirements 5 or more year’s progressively responsible manufacturing management experience required. 3-5 years blown film extrusion/conversion experience and ISO 9000 experience preferred.
