Caroline County Commissioners Motor Equipment Operator in Denton, Maryland

The Department: The Caroline County Department of Public Works maintains the Countys infrastructure including roads, bridges, drainage, public buildings, fleet, and heavy equipment. The Department is divided into two major divisions: Roads and Special Services. The Roads Division maintains over 300 miles of paved and tar-and-chip roads and about 78 miles of unpaved roads. This includes maintaining bridges, culverts, roadway shoulders and signs. The Special Services Division takes care of nearly 250,000 square feet of County buildings. The Countys fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment represents about $10 million of equipment.About the Position: The Motor Equipment Operator is a full time, safety sensitive position in the Public Works Department. Depending on the needs of the Department, the employee may be assigned to either of the two Divisions and reassigned as operational needs change.
