NewWave HQ Financial/Contracts Analyst in Elkridge, Maryland
NewWave seeks a qualified Finance/Contracts Analyst.
The goal of this position is to serve as liaison between the IDOS Program Management, Corporate Contracts, and IDOS business partners to proactively and effectively manage program needs for subcontractor labor support and to continue to build positive relationships with NewWave partners. This position is both tactical in meeting IDOS program needs and strategic in supporting NewWave’s mission to grow and strengthen partner relationships.
Monitor subcontractor performance and work with program manager to notify subcontractor noncompliance to the Contracts department
Responsible for correct financial reporting to Program Finance Director and senior management
Develop and manage financial monitoring and reporting systems in compliance with company and customer standards
Track program budgets and financial indicators comply with all contract financial reporting requirements
Work with management to develop the program budget and spend plan; create sub contract budgets; oversee the creation of the field budgets; develop revenue plans (backlog plans)
Work with management and business development to develop cost proposals if required
Conduct subcontractor and financial risk analysis; advise management of improvements or implement improvements
Work with Contracts department to request/coordinate Contract modification updates
Lead partner meetings to discuss IDOS needs (current and future) and discuss subcontractor performance and other Business Management related concerns or issues
Maintain close relationships with platform managers to monitor subcontractor performance and work with Contracts department in situations of low performance and decision to terminate
Provide approval/rejection of overtime on invoices
Play key role in option year funding establishment of subcontractor labor. Support Contracts department with necessary financial information to incorporate into contract modifications
Management and maintenance of subcontractor database:
Build, manage and maintain subcontractor database information, including Corp-to-Corp (C2C) activity
Track information regarding hours, funding, tracking of actuals vs funding, changes due to contract modifications, etc. must all be maintained real time to allow quick access to data for analytical and determination of contract modification requests, as well as timely identification of funding limitations
Subcontractor overtime:
Oversee all aspects of subcontractor overtime approval process
Maintain overtime approval information
BA/BS with 7 years of business, financial, contracts experience OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to perform analysis as defined by specific laws, regulations, manuals, instructions and any additional information assigned by management.
Experience in government contracting
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Quality focused with strong attention to detail
Effective analytical problem-solving skills
Ability to multi-task in a deadline driven environment under minimal supervision
Preferred
Ability to work in a team environment and have sound judgment.
Maintain the completeness, timeliness and accuracy of all deliverables.
Able to work closely with all stakeholders
