In this role you will:
Designs, documents, and develops code (to include firmware) for digital signal processors or other programmable hardware devices such as Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) and Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) hardware.
Analyzes the function of existing integrated circuits and hardware components for the purpose of reverse engineering the hardware and firmware.
Conducts the necessary hardware engineering and related functions to modify and adapt vendor-manufactured hardware to meet special Government needs and contingencies.
Design For Test (DFT) implementation and Automated Test Pattern Generation (ATPG)
Use of 1 of the following PFGA tools: Xilinx/Intel/Microsemi design tools and
Experience with RTL coding (VHDL or Verilog)
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Eight (8) years experience as a hardware design engineer OR HS diploma and 12 years of Hardware design engineer experience
ACTIVE TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
Desired / Preferred Qualifications:
Embedded FPGA (eFPGA) (ex Flex Logix EFLEX or Acronix Speedcore)
Embedded processors (ex Zynq or Microblaze or RISC)
Use of IP cores FPGA designs
ASIC Static Timing Analysis
Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
