Parsons Corporation Test Engineer (Embedded) in Fort George G Meade, Maryland

In this role you will:

  • Design, develop, evaluate, and use custom test scripts/procedures to evaluate the effectiveness, readiness, and compliance of custom developed software in both hosted and embedded environments

  • Emphasis will be on testing embedded software running on custom ARM9 processor boards in both Linux kernel-mode and user-mode.

  • Both software testing and hardware testing experience.

  • Configure network equipment such as routers and switches in support of software testing

  • Document test procedures, results/bugs, generate test reports and generate presentations and support customer reviews covering the software validation

  • Recommends and implements efficiency/coverage improvements to the software test process to include modifying procedures, scripts, and documentation.

  • Work with developers to troubleshoot issues/bugs with products and tests.

  • Ability to configure and monitor network gear, e.g. channels, virtual router, private networks.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, or Engineering Management , and eight (8) years experience as a Test Engineer OR HS diploma and 12 years of test engineering experience

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance

Desired / Preferred Qualifications:

  • Test automation experience ideally for both software and hardware test automation.

  • Packet testing tool experience (e.g. Spirent or IXIA)

  • Python experience

Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
