Salary: $60,000.00 to $130,000.00 /year
The Production Planner and Scheduler plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors final approval of products through the complete production cycle. Works from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements. Coordinates production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules. May schedule and/or interfaces with marketing, sales, production and engineering managers. Works to resolve (in case of design changes) labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.
We are seeking several production planners/schedulers up to the managerial level.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors final approval of products through the complete production cycle.
Works from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements.
Coordinates production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules.
May schedule and/or interfaces with marketing, sales, production and engineering managers.
Works to resolve (in case of design changes) labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.
Accountable for customer service, inventory, and manufacturing cost including optimized resource schedule
Capacity planning for rolling 12-18 months (equipment and shift capacity) ? as well as one network view for total capacity
Planning of the monthly buckets to achieve customer service
Level loading of the production and alignment of the inventory impact
Analysis of demand patterns together with demand planning to achieve a smooth production plan
Leads ramp up and ramp down production for inventory planning at site
Accountable for site reliability, inventory and manufacturing cost including optimized resource schedule
Planning of the weekly buckets to achieve customer service
Setup of a feasible production schedule, re. capacity change overs, shift models, and production wheel
When in backlog situation, priority tool is utilized to minimize impact
Daily alignment with manufacturing and deviation management
Support in weekly ramp up and ramp down planning
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor?s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field is required. Master of Business Administration (MBA) or other advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years related experience, or advanced degree with limited experience; or equivalent work experience.
Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
Exercises judgment and independence in identifying next steps.
This is the level at which scientific, technical and/or functional principles, concepts and practices are understood and some real world experience applying these concepts is required. This may be the entry point for some job families where experience, albeit limited, is required to be successful.
Demonstrated expertise in ERP/MRP Planning systems, including all relevant planning parameters such as inventory controls, replenishment, warehouse management and procurement functionality in ERP and best-of-breed software solutions is strongly preferred, with specific emphasis on SAP ECC, EWM and APO
