Paid internship opportunity for Summer 2021 ! We're looking for highly organized, eager to learn Electrical or Mechanical Engineering students with at least 1 year of college complete. In this role, you will work with technicians and test engineers to evaluate and help design more efficient test fixtures and help create and manage a visual inventory database of existing RF and Microwave components. This opportunity is located in our Germantown, MD office (please note housing assistance is not available).
Help create and manage a visual inventory database of existing RF and Microwave components
Work with technicians and test engineering to evaluate and help design more efficient test fixtures
Work closely with and assist engineers in the conduct of various engineering assignments
Carry out basic work instructions that will help in understanding the fundamentals of the Company and also learn new things
Conduct limited scope testing under the supervision of engineers
Gather and assemble data for engineers
May be required to help in research in a particular field
Conduct design analysis and/or calculations under the supervision of engineers
Assist engineers with appropriate design details
Must have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to build a good network
Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the engineering staff, methods, programs and practices
Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Other duties as assigned
Current BS Engineering student (rising Sophomore-Senior)
Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred
Knowledge of LabView and Excel
Must be highly organized, self motivated, diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn
Effective interpersonal skills
RF knowledge preferred
Must be able to work in the Germantown office for approx. 90 days (we work a 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off)
