ASRC Federal Holding Company Software Developer -- Mid Level in Greenbelt, Maryland

ASRC Technical Services (ASTS) brings a long and successful history of delivering high-performance space systems engineering, integration and satellite operations services to civil and defense agencies. ASTS provides these services throughout all phases of the program life cycle and across the entire space systems architecture, including space and ground assets.

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to support GOES-R Ground Segment Sustainment team. This Software Developer will support several key initiatives, including Enhanced Auditing of the Ground Segment, Server migration and adoption of virtualization technology. Candidates should be team-oriented and experienced with VMWare, containers and Cloud technologies. OpenAudit experience is an additionally valuable skill. The software developer will be responsible for:

  • Participate in a team that will be evaluation the migration of Ground Segment functionality to cloud technologies

  • Development and sustainment of internally developed tools

  • Review of software engineering artifacts related to adoption of virtualization technologies

  • Support internal Enhanced Auditing of the Ground Segment, including use of OpenAudit
