ManpowerGroup Service Manager - Truck Repair in Hagerstown, Maryland

*This is a permanent, direct hire position with full benefits.

Do you bring experience in diesel engine, truck and heavy equipment repair? Are you a strong leader that is also gifted with salesmanship?

Our client is seeking a skilled truck technician that has held a leadership position in the shop environment. As the Service Manager, you will oversee day to day operations of a sales and service facility. You will supervise technicians while maintaining an efficient operating budget. The Service Manager works with the Company Director in business development and cost saving initiatives. You will demonstrate your salesmanship skills with oversight for tire and equipment sales.

As the Service Manager, you will:

  • Supervise a team of experienced technicians

  • Plan and schedule work while maintaining an efficient repair order process

  • Generate cost estimates, quotes and itemized invoices

  • Develop expertise with products and services

  • Interact with customers and negotiate terms effectively

  • Promote sales opportunities, research and connect with prospective customers

  • Be willing to assist in service and maintenance activities as workload demands

  • Work Mon-Fri, standard daytime hours, Saturday mornings as needed

The ideal candidate will have:

  • HS Diploma and truck/equipment service training

  • Proven leadership ability: 3 years' Supervisory/Management or Team Lead experience

  • 5 years' experience in maintenance & repair service for trucks and industrial vehicles

  • 2+ years' experience in sales and customer service

  • History of P&L accountability

  • Knowledge of current OSHA safety standards within a service shop environment

  • Initiative and ability to self-manage with integrity

This position offers:

  • Starting salary of $65-70,000 annually
