Position Description

What does a great Sr. Settlement Analyst do?

A Sr. Settlement Analyst loves to provide resolutions for problems and has a flair for spotting numerical data irregularities. We are looking for a highly-motivated, hardworking candidate willing to coordinate workflow within our Integrated Disputes Financial Balancing Team. A Settlement Analyst will work under general supervision and will be responsible for tasks of moderate complexity, including audits of financial documents and procedures. Due to the financial nature of the workflow, the Incumbent must be proactive in reducing liability and will make decisions based on key control factors and their ability to anticipate problem situations. To be successful in this role, you must be a team player, should have previous experience with spreadsheets and must have a keen eye for detail. You can look forward to:

Utilize reporting and back office applications to identify, note, and resolve miscellaneous adjustments to and from the networks and from or to merchants. We do a reconciliation of the financials from the back end of the dispute, working backwards, to discover where the data irregularity occurred. We make use of a newly crafted tool to balance back to inventory within our internal application, IDS. We load all financial inventory into the proper tools and resources. You will have a strong attention to detail with the ability to interrogate and identify data to find irregularities within each system and how to resolve!

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

  • Extensive MS Excel skills required (i.e. PIVOT, VLOOKUP, MACROS)

  • 2 Years Settlement or Accounting experience

  • Knowledge of Payment Network Dispute Guidelines

Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field

  • 3+ years Financial Services industry experience
