Autonomous Vehicle Software Engineer
Textron Systems is looking for experienced engineers to deliver disruptive autonomous system technologies which enhance the mission capabilities of our customers. We leverage diversity of thought to develop the best solutions for these critical missions.
Our engineers are involved in the entire life cycle of our products, from conceptual design through testing and delivery. Your day may include designing, modeling and simulation, prototyping, integration, and field testing autonomous air, land, and sea-borne robotic vehicles and their subsystems. We want engineers who can apply new technologies such as machine vision and machine learning to multi-domain automation tasks and communicate their approaches to a wide audience.
Position requires no more than 15% travel.
Education & Experience
Minimum of 5 years experience required. Experience and background will determine entrance level; we are looking for Bachelors, Masters, and PhD level engineers in Software, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with relevant coursework work in air, land, or sea robotics, machine learning, or machine vision. We want your experience to include:
Modeling and simulation of unmanned or autonomous vehicles (e.g. MATLAB/Simulink or Gazebo)
Designing and building air, land, or sea-based robots
(Desirable) Vision systems, controls, swarming in unmanned domains, or coding capability in more than one language
