About This Role
Test Station Specialist responsibilities include developing, upgrading and operating custom hardware and software test stations used on Textron Systems production programs. These systems use a variety of rack mount instruments, environmental chambers and control systems to accomplish subsystem and system level functional test of military electro-mechanical products.
Primary responsibilities include:
Design, develop, document, and operate automated test stations required for new and existing electronic products and assist with transition of this equipment to production activities.
Develop functional test stations utilizing state-of-the-art IEEE-488, VXI & LXI Instrumentation in a context of automated parametric measurements, while maintaining a modular, flexible and scalable design approach. Experienced with Agilent VEE (preferred), LabView or LabWindows CVI.
Perform test development activity in accordance with customer specifications and requirements. Able to interface with product development teams to determine appropriate test strategy and coverage for functional requirements.
Write process, test and calibration procedures and reports.
Provide technical support to others across the organization.
Execute test and calibration procedures and draft resultant reports.
Associates Degree in Electronics, Computer Science or a related field.
5 – 10 years of experience developing automated, software driven test stations.
Programming experience with Agilent VEE and LabView. Must be proficient with MS Office.
Ability to operate standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies and signal generators.
Effectively communicates with and engages all levels of the organization verbally and in writing; translates technical decisions/strategies into business terms and implications; produces clear, understandable documentation geared for all audiences.
Exhibits an assertive personality with a strong bias for action with a results-orientation; tackles tough problems with firm deadlines.
Experience in problem isolation with demonstrable troubleshooting skills.
Must have strong written and verbal communications skills and be able to work in a team oriented environment.
An existing U.S. Security Clearance is desired. The ability to obtain one is required.
Experience with environmental stress screening methodologies, boundary scan and BIST are a plus.
