Job Summary
We have immediate openings for experienced Maintenance Technicians for our properties in Laurel MD. The right candidate will be courteous and professional, and will be responsible for day-to-day apartment maintenance.
Responsibilities and Duties
Performs minor building, plumbing, drywall, electrical, carpentry, appliance and painting repairs
Performs general repair and maintenance of appliances in rental units
Implements preventative maintenance
Maintains building exterior property for safety of residents and environmental aesthetics which includes snow removal, shoveling, carrying and dispensing salt, etc.
Be available for after hours on call rotation
Performs other miscellaneous duties as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
Experienced and proficient in operating a variety of equipment including snow blowers, and small hand tools
HVAC experience
Appliance repair knowledge with at least one year of experience
Skilled in plumbing, electrical, drywall, plaster, painting and carpentry
General maintenance knowledge
Must have own tools
Must have dependable transportation and valid driver's license
Able to work well with minimal supervision
General knowledge of safety rules and regulations
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Must be courteous and professional
Must be a team player with a "can do" attitude
Must be able to pass a criminal background and drug test
Must have dependable transportation
Must maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
