MAG Aerospace Principal Systems Engineer in Lexington Park, Maryland
MAG Aerospace is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Leading and coordinating weapon system development activities associated with complex engineering systems and capabilities.
Functional and system level requirements analysis, requirements generation and technical community review associated with designing and developing major weapon system requirements definition, functional allocation, design development, testing, and integration support.
Assess and document risk, issues, and impacts of proposed engineering changes to the technical capability and operations of the system.
Review work products for accuracy, completeness, and impact to weapons systems and interfaces to elements, other host or connected systems, and impact to the warfighter System of Systems (SoS).
Review technical artifacts (e.g., test plans, test procedures, test readiness artifacts, certification plans, authorization/certification artifacts, risk/issue documentations, safety assessment artifacts, operational guidance, restriction artifacts, etc.).
Lead the development of total system solutions that meet technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Ten (10) years general Systems Engineering Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher, in Engineering or Systems Engineering
Systems Engineering activities in support of current and future combat system Command and Control (C2) functions, such as (but not limited to): Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), Marine Corps Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC2S), Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD), Littoral Combat Ships (LCS), etc., or;
Naval Network System Engineering experience and knowledge, related to Shipboard and shore installation networking, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) teleport gateway services, and networking bridges required based on weapon system platform mission profiles and data routing plans.
Ten (10) years specific Combat Systems and C2 experience as defined above in the Desired experience.
This role is Contingent upon contract award.
