Aerotek Intake Coordinator in Linthicum Heights, Maryland
Description:
The Intake Coordinator I is responsible to triage and process all incoming referral requests for ophthalmology services. The Intake Coordinator I is responsible for responding to telephone inquiries and faxes from members and/or providers for ophthalmology services when needed. In addition, they will also assist in the routine verification of eligibility and confirmation of benefits.
Essential Functions:
Performing timely intake processes on all incoming request
Maintain optimal quality standards for all processes and ensure compliance to productivity schedule and maintain all member data into systems and monitor activity
Adhere to timeliness of all incoming requests in accordance with all contractual and federal guidelines
Deliver excellent customer service
Identify the completeness of information received for requested services with high attention to detail, as well as the urgency of the requests
Process authorization of surgical requests according client control requirements
Respond to telephone inquiries from members and/or providers for Optometry and Ophthalmology services as well as DME when needed
Verification of eligibility, confirmation of benefits, facilitation of the referral/authorization processes
Attend and participate in team meetings
Maintain a working knowledge of, and adheres to applicable federal/state regulations including but not limited to, laws related to patient confidentiality, release of information, and HIPAA

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED
