The Sr. Systems Engineer performs a lead role in defining and executing systems engineering activities within a project, including the development, staffing, and execution of a systems engineering management plan. These activities may encompass any of the standard engineering disciplines: requirements definition, systems analysis, systems design, systems development, and test and evaluation.


  • Performs activities in one or more of the following areas: systems requirements analysis and management, systems analysis and performance assessment, information engineering, integration, verification and validation, systems architecture, technology insertion, technology risk assessment, and systems engineering process improvement.

  • Develops, staffs, and executes a systems engineering management plan.

  • Supports Principle Engineers and Program Managers, as required.

  • Analyzes and develops technical documentation detailing the system components, functions, and performance and describing systems engineering activities.

  • Coordinates the activities of Systems Engineers assigned to systems engineering projects.


  • Masters Degree or equivalent experience in a technical field

  • 10 years of systems engineering experience

  • 5 years of experience in technical leadership roles
