Centric Business Systems Copier Repair Supervisor in Owings Mills, Maryland

Job Summary:

The role of the Copier Repair Supervisor is to ensure, through the supervision of staff, and through self-engagement, that all devices requiring pre-delivery installation are properly assembled, tested, and prepped for shipping in a timely and efficient manner. This includes coordination with the logistics and operations departments to effectively stay on schedule. This supervisor must also be technically sound and proficient in order to properly diagnose and repair non-functioning equipment and/or damaged equipment. Additionally, as time permits and situations warrant, the shop supervisor will be required to provide field technical support (at customers? locations) for devices for which a technician or service manager has requested assistance. Additionally, the role will be the first level triage support for all locally used devices within the corporate offices. Lastly, The Copier Repair Supervisor is responsible for interviewing of shop candidates; and the coaching, counseling, and developing of all shop personnel.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervise, Coach, Counsel , and Develop Shop Personnel

  • Responsible for overseeing all equipment builds

  • Project manage ?large? equipment builds

  • Maintain and repair all office equipment , including the demo room devices, within the corporate offices

  • Write and deliver performance appraisals

  • Solicit additional shop support from field (through service management) as the need arises

  • Repair Customer units which could not be repaired in the field and have been temporarily replaced with a loaner device

  • Repair freight-damaged devices

  • Evaluate equipment to determine proper status (Resale / Reclaim / Wholesale / Disposal)

  • Create / Maintain / Update Equipment refurbishing Process

  • Hard Drive erasure / Hard Drive Destruction

  • Maintain overall organization and cleanliness of the shop

Required Qualifications: (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

  • Associates Degree in Business Management or equivalent industry experience

  • 3+ years of industry related experience

  • Has demonstrated outstanding leadership and decision making skills
