OVERVIEW

The Global Technology Learning Lead will be primary to lead the creation and transformation of learning initiatives across Global Technology. The Learning Lead will work closely with subject matter experts across technology in the creation of curriculum that meets the emerging skill sets needed to execute business and technology strategies. While the focus will be on technical training, this position will develop a holistic learning strategy that encompasses multiple sources of learning across the organization. This person will also work to improve the overall process from engagement through feedback and applying learned skills to ensure overall effectiveness. This role will lead and partner with other groups, such as Enterprise Learning, Human Resources, and Procurement, in developing learning curriculum's to advance and prepare the Global Technology workforce for the future.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads the identification, coordination, development, and deployment of highly complex Learning and Development programs that support employee development and engagement and align with Global Technology needs. Designs and executes communication about programs.

  • Leads disciplinary or cross-functional program of notable risk. Has experience in integrating related disciplinary knowledge.

  • Has working knowledge of technology roles and disciplines.

  • Accountable for work of self and sometimes others.

  • Works independently, receives minimal guidance. Sets standards around which others will operate.

  • Recommends and provides opportunities for knowledge sharing and skill development, in addition to formal programs. Analyzes internal data as well as department processes, policies, and procedures to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of delivered programs.

  • Recommends and implements improvements to the design, development, or deployment of a portfolio of programs.

  • Consults with functional leaders, job family leads and, occasionally, business leaders to understand and define the learning needs and objectives to support organizational success.

  • Monitors the development of the Global Technology workforce across job families to evaluate efficiency, effectiveness, and impact. Develop program metrics to communicate to various audiences.

  • Manages multiple vendors or third-party partners delivering complex, global programs, ensuring quality service and delivery. Oversees special projects related to new or existing business objectives requiring program design and delivery and ensures that vendor partnerships are positioned to provide the most effective and efficient program experience across a broad spectrum of offerings.

  • Collaborates with Learning and Development and Human Resources/Talent partners to understand the learning needs and objectives of Global Technology. Helps implement the best solutions for various job families/roles across Global Technology.

  • Work closely with job family leads to understand learning and development needs by job family/role. Leverage expertise to define and shape curriculums.

  • Primary lead for learning needs across Global Technology

  • Lead and manage overall GT training process (engagement/ communications, intake, approvals, budget, training coordination)

  • Lead and manage interactions between instructor/vendor/EL and GT Training

  • Plan, manage, support, measure, and communicate GT Training investment/ROI

  • Participate in annual planning to proactively identify training needs and level of investment

  • Gather and analyze feedback on training to inform future offerings

  • Collaborate with other groups across the organization to leverage best practices

  • Help create a learning culture across Global Technology

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience creating and building out information technology focused training and development programs

  • Solid leadership, organization, team building and motivation skills

  • Proven analytical skills and project management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment

  • Demonstrates accountability and ability to work independently

  • Negotiation skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Good judgment and the ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management

PREFERRED:

  • ATD's Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP)

  • Project Management experience

  • Budget development
